Warren Buffet

There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1.) He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2.) He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3.) He still lives in the same small 3 bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4.) He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.

5.) He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.

6.) His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.

7.) He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

8.) He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch television.

9.) Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

10.) Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

11.) His advice to young people: Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself.

Morale

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat Disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible? and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse,

Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT'S
BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY! ALWAYS
APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS ! ! !

It can happen with anyone

Must read ..... so easy a trick.......

A LADY'S handbag which contained her mobile, credit card, purse.. .etc....was stolen.
20 minutes later when she called her hubby, telling him what happened.
Husband says, "but I've just received your SMS asking about your Pin number. And I've replied a little while ago!!!!!!".
They rushed down to the bank….
WHERE THE Bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn.
The pickpocket had actually used the stolen CELL phone to sms "hubby" in the contact list and got hold of the pin number.
Within 20 mins he had withdrawn all the money from the bank account.

Moral of the lesson :
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, sweetheart, Jaanu, Dad, Mum etc..................and very importantly,

when sensitive info is being asked thru SMS, CONFIRM by calling back .

PIN reversal an eRumour

Sorry folks the blog entry for safetyPIN is actually a rumour.
Details about it are documented at
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/a/atm-911.htm
Its easy to just forward emails. But we should cross check them before telling others.
Please do not get carried away by such rumours

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM
machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The
ATM recognizes

that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the
machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to
the robber,

the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is
seldom used because people don't know it exists.

HER DIARY
---------

Throughout the Day, I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a
cafe to have some coffee. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bitlate, but he made no comment.Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk,he agreed but he kept quiet and absent.I asked him what was wrong - he said,"Nothing." I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry. On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving.I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say,"I love u,too."
When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV.;he seemed distant and absent. Finally I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed. I decided that I could not take it anymore, so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep.I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.
